Before we get started, I want to let you know that my book will be available on June 6! It’s my very first novel! You can read the first 3 chapters today and pre-order the e-book on Amazon, Google Play, or Books2Read.
ANYWAY HERE IS MY STORY!
I started writing when I was in elementary school. Telling stories was just something I always did. I would make up wild stories like christmas decoration reindeer coming to life and going on a murderous rampage or my cousin’s brother being the moon. I think we are all storytellers to some capacity.
I got my first whiff of “fame” in the 4th grade when I wrote a story about the closet in my bedroom. I was terrified of it. I used to line my baby dolls around my full size mattress like a protective force field. I don’t know what they would do, but helped me sleep at night.
My teacher loved it and read it to the class. I remember it had pictures in it I drew. I can’t, for the life of me, remember what happened in the book, but my teacher shared it with the class across the hall and they read it.
In middle school, me and my good friend created Anime Mayhem, an extremely plagiarized work of fanfiction. It was basically me taking the plot of most of the Totally Spies episodes and inserting my own characters, but with A LOT more relationship dramas. It is cringey, but it’s really where I took writing more seriously. I had written 3 of these where the characters progressed from High School to College and even having kids. It was a mess, to be honest.
In High School, I took creative writing where Road to Grimpaitra would have its beginnings. I even started making it into a comic. (it wasn’t very good.) I wrote countless weaboo fanfictions during my time in high school and had my friends read a few of them.
Fast forward to now where the only writing from high school that survived is Road to Grimpaitra!
I’ll be so glad when it is finally released! JUNE 6, 2020!
